As a Solvency II Application Specialist, you will be responsible for leading the implementation of the Solvency II application framework, including RiskIntegrity, the application used by Gen Re for SCR calculation and QRT reporting. Your tasks will include:

  • Specifying change and maintenance requests to adjust data processes and/or RiskIntegrity due to changes in source systems or standards.
  • Coordinating the implementation of new RiskIntegrity patches and releases, including test approach.
  • Leading system error and abort cases.
  • Coordinating and supporting end-to-end test approach, including definition of test cases and scenarios.
  • Supporting actuaries and finance specialists in case of unreasonable results.
  • Driving the development of an automated SII Closing Calendar and Process Control.
  • Tracking data issues and satisfying ad hoc analysis requests.
  • Being the contact to IT and Finance for the SII system landscape, including QlikView/Power BI Reporting.
  • Discussing/Supporting technical concepts with IT representatives.

For IFRS and LDTI reporting:

  • Backing up functions.
  • Supporting the process of identifying synergies between Gen Re's various regulatory reporting obligations to simplify and streamline them.
Your Profile

To be successful in this role, you should have:

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in computer science or finance.
  • Self-motivation and willingness to quickly learn financial applications and processes.
  • Technical knowledge around ETL and SQL.
  • Experience with regulatory requirements for Solvency II and ideally IFRS/LDTI.
  • At least partial experience with technical platforms used by Gen Re.
  • Knowledge of Finance subledgers systems.
  • Experience with writing SQL queries and reporting applications like PowerBI.
  • Confident communication skills.
  • Ability to contribute to the team culture and success.
  • Attention to detail and continuous improvement mindset.
