Job Title:
Purchasing Specialist (m/f/d)
Focus on plant-based raw materials and packaging

Job Responsibilities:
- Acquire high-quality agricultural raw materials, packaging, operational supplies, energy, and services.
- Formulate and execute a contemporary procurement strategy utilizing digital platforms.
- Expand and diversify the current supplier network.
- Identify, select, and nurture new supplier relationships.
- Negotiate terms and pricing with suppliers to ensure optimal agreements.
- Enhance supplier management and evaluation processes.
- Implement effective procurement controls based on key performance indicators.
- Establish robust risk and contract management practices in procurement.
- Conduct market research, evaluate offers, and monitor procurement trends and competitors.
- Oversee material inventory and delivery timelines while ensuring adherence to quality standards.
- Coordinate logistics of orders with internal teams or logistics partners.
- Maintain accurate procurement-related master data.
- Drive process improvements and innovations in the supply chain, focusing on digitalization.
- Streamline procurement processes and engage in cross-departmental projects, such as ERP system implementation.

Qualifications:
- Commercial education with a specialization in procurement or a degree in business or agricultural sciences.
- Several years of experience in procurement and materials management, with sourcing expertise in relevant markets.
- Proven industry experience in the food or agricultural sector is essential.
- Familiarity with natural raw materials and agricultural products is advantageous.
- Knowledge of contract management is required.
- Proficient in MS Office and experienced with procurement processes in ERP systems.
- Conversational English language skills are necessary.
- Experience in team management is preferred.
- Strong initiative, innovative mindset, and organizational capabilities.
- Excellent conceptual and operational execution skills.
- Affinity for mid-sized companies and a practical, solution-oriented work approach.
- Strong team player with persuasive negotiation and communication skills.
