Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Portier to join our team at U.S. Army Europe and Africa. As a Portier, you will be responsible for providing exceptional guest services and managing reservations for our facilities.

Key Responsibilities
  • Check guests in and out, posting charges through the computer system
  • Welcome incoming guests, assign rooms, and provide information on leisure activities
  • Operate the telephone switchboard, connecting calls and answering in-house calls
  • Account for hotel keys and issue/receive same from guests
  • Provide helpful and friendly service to guests at all times
  • Keep the front desk and other work areas clean and orderly
  • Control and be responsible for funds during shift
  • Make, change, and cancel reservations through the system
  • Receive and account for advance deposits, and send confirmation to guests
  • Maintain guest reservation figures and recommend alternate dates if requested dates are unavailable
Requirements
  • 2 years of job-related experience (E&T Level I)
  • English Language Proficiency level B2 required
  • Ability to work rotating shifts, including weekends and holidays
  • High level of job security and attractive pay under German tariff agreements
