We are seeking an Application Developer (m/f/d) specializing in XRF.

X-Ray Fluorescence Spectrometry (XRF) is a robust and versatile analytical technique used to ascertain the elemental composition of materials. It plays a crucial role within the Elemental Analysis business unit at Bruker AXS. Your responsibilities will encompass participation in the comprehensive development process of new XRF applications, methodologies, and devices, focusing on enhancing analytical system performance.

Responsibilities

  • Develop analytical methodologies for elemental analysis utilizing XRF, aligned with market demands.
  • Assess analytical limits and propose enhancements to software and hardware to optimize analytical performance.
  • Collaborate with hardware and software development teams to ensure cohesive progress.
  • Conduct quality analyses aimed at product enhancement.
  • Validate XRF software and hardware from an application perspective.
  • Produce installation guidelines and user manuals.
  • Provide support to the application team, service, and production (back-office assistance).

Qualifications

  • Degree in Physics, Chemistry, Material Science, or a related field.
  • Extensive experience with XRF analysis.
  • Proficiency in programming languages such as C# or C++.
  • Personal attributes including adaptability, effective communication, and teamwork capabilities.
  • Results-oriented mindset and motivation.
  • Excellent communication skills in English; proficiency in German is advantageous.
