The Team:
Within the Engineering division, the Product Analytics & Data Sciences team plays a crucial role in providing analytical support and strategic insights to both product and engineering teams. Our mission is to deliver a comprehensive product perspective across the organization, empowering teams to make informed, evidence-based decisions. The Role: As the Analytics Strategy Lead, you will be pivotal in shaping and executing initiatives that establish a robust analytic framework, generate actionable insights, and enhance decision-making processes. This impactful position requires collaboration with cross-functional teams to identify business goals, translate them into analytic specifications, and oversee the implementation of analytic projects. You will also facilitate data-driven discussions among stakeholders, using effective storytelling to convey significant insights.
Key Responsibilities:
- Strategic Leadership: Formulate and implement data analytics strategies that align with the organization’s objectives, ensuring the development of a scalable and efficient analytic framework.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration: Engage with stakeholders across product, engineering, finance, and go-to-market teams to comprehend business objectives and convert them into detailed analytic requirements.
- Project Management: Oversee the development and execution of analytic projects, ensuring timely delivery and alignment with business needs. Track and analyze key metrics and KPIs to evaluate the effectiveness of analytics initiatives and identify opportunities for enhancement.
- Product Telemetry: Collaborate with product and engineering teams to identify essential signals for downstream analytics and establish processes for effective product telemetry.
- Data Governance: Develop data governance policies and standards to maintain data quality, integrity, and security within analytic projects. Advocate for best practices in data management and compliance across the organization.
- Facilitation and Advocacy: Encourage data-driven discussions and decision-making throughout the organization, acting as a liaison between technical teams and business stakeholders.
- Insight Delivery: Organize and lead regular meetings to communicate insights and recommendations to stakeholders across the organization.
- Continuous Improvement: Stay informed about industry trends and emerging technologies, continuously enhancing the organization’s analytics capabilities.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in Data Science, Business Analytics, Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field; Master’s or MBA preferred.
- Over 10 years of relevant experience in roles such as Data Product Manager or Product Strategy Manager, with a focus on developing and implementing data analytics strategies in a B2B enterprise product environment.
- Proficiency in data analytics tools and techniques, including data modeling, statistical analysis, machine learning, and data visualization. Familiarity with software such as SQL, Python, R, Tableau, and Power BI is essential.
- Demonstrated ability to lead cross-functional teams, manage projects, and drive initiatives that align with strategic objectives.
- Exceptional verbal and written communication skills, capable of presenting complex data insights through effective storytelling.
- Strong interpersonal skills with a proven track record of building relationships and fostering collaboration across diverse teams.
- A strategic mindset with the ability to think creatively and drive continuous improvement through data-driven insights.
