Nighttime Sanitation Specialist

Position Title: Overnight Cleaner & Dishwasher

Expected Hours: Approximately 10 p.m. to 4 a.m. (schedule can be tailored to your needs), available as part-time or full-time based on your choice.

Compensation: $18/hour

Workplace: Brunswick, Maine

The Gelato Fiasco, Inc. is looking for a dedicated overnight dishwasher and cleaner at our Brunswick location.

This role offers a chance to contribute to a small business that prioritizes a supportive work environment.

Your responsibilities will include managing the dishes from the day and ensuring the kitchen and back-of-house areas remain tidy.

Your shift will commence with a brief check-in with our customer service team, followed by independent work for the majority of the night.


Essential Qualifications:

  • Previous experience in a cleaning role is advantageous. Alternatively, a background in self-directed tasks may be considered.
  • A strong inclination towards maintaining cleanliness and hygiene.
  • Must demonstrate responsibility and focus to complete tasks without ongoing supervision.
  • Comfort with working independently for portions of the shift is necessary.
  • Professional and tidy personal appearance is required.
  • Capability to lift up to 50 pounds.

Daily Duties:

  • Handle the day's dishwashing, utilizing both sink and commercial dishwasher.
  • Ensure dishwashing equipment is functioning properly and collaborate with team members to address any issues.
  • Communicate with nighttime service staff to identify tasks that need attention.
  • Participate in deep cleaning and maintenance projects as needed.
  • Adaptability to modify task order based on daily requirements.
