Job Overview
As a (Junior) Consultant in IT-Forensic, eDiscovery, and Forensic Data Analytics, you will assist organizations across various sectors in preventing, detecting, and investigating economic crimes. In the role of an IT Forensics expert, you will leverage your technological skills to uncover fraudulent activities within IT systems.

Your Responsibilities
Are you passionate about being the technical authority and eager to engage with current issues related to the prevention and resolution of economic crime? Do you find topics surrounding computers, data analysis, and machine learning intriguing? Are data protection and security within organizations familiar concepts to you? If you are looking for a steep learning curve, you are in the right place:

  • Support internal investigations and contribute to the prevention and detection of economic crimes and other misconduct.
  • Specialize in at least one of the following areas:
    • IT Forensics: Analyze IT systems for digital traces and artifacts, helping to clarify the digital crime scene. Assist clients in resolving IT security incidents through cyber forensic investigation and analysis methods.
    • eDiscovery: Act as a technical advisor for the entire eDiscovery lifecycle, from forensic data preservation to processing, review management, analytics application, and data production for legal proceedings.
    • Forensic Data Analytics: Examine structured data for anomalies and trace behavioral patterns. Develop strategies to identify previously undetected fraudulent activities while testing hypotheses and flagging red flags.
  • Collaborate in interdisciplinary teams to support the digitalization of prevention and investigation measures.

Your Profile

  • To become a (Junior) Consultant in IT-Forensic, eDiscovery, and Forensic Data Analytics, you should possess a degree in business administration, law, (IT) forensics, (business) informatics, or another STEM field, or have completed a banking apprenticeship.
  • Ideally, you have engaged with digital forensics or economic crime during your studies.
  • Practical experience through internships, training at a bank, or student jobs in areas such as (IT) forensics, internal investigations, eDiscovery, data analytics, data protection, anti-money laundering, risk, or compliance is advantageous.
  • A keen interest in finance-related processes and systems is a plus.
  • You should be willing to travel and possess proficiency in German at C1 level and English at B2 level.
