Job Title: Logistics Coordinator

About the Role:

We are seeking a highly motivated and organized Logistics Coordinator to join our team at DB Schenker. As a Logistics Coordinator, you will play a crucial role in planning and organizing standard, heavy, and special transports, ensuring timely and efficient delivery of goods to our customers.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Plan and coordinate transportation routes and schedules to optimize delivery times and reduce costs
  • Calculate prices and submit offers to customers, taking into account factors such as fuel costs, tolls, and other expenses
  • Arrange for transport and freight insurance, ensuring that all necessary documentation is in order
  • Negotiate freight rates and issue orders to carriers, ensuring that all terms and conditions are met
  • Communicate with business partners and customers locally and internationally, providing excellent customer service and resolving any issues that may arise
  • Work closely with our team to ensure that all logistics operations are running smoothly and efficiently

Requirements:

  • Completion of secondary school or equivalent
  • Strong interest in business, mathematics, and languages (German and English)
  • Analytical thinking and attention to detail
  • Team player with excellent communication and problem-solving skills
  • Willingness to learn and ask questions, with a strong desire to grow and develop within the company
