Job Summary
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Associate - Financial Services Audit Expert to join our team. As a Senior Associate, you will be responsible for conducting pre-audit planning, managing global client contacts, and performing analyses to identify risks. You will also be responsible for interviewing clients, using analytical skills to identify root causes of findings, and assisting clients in developing improvement measures.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct pre-audit planning by developing a strong understanding of business processes, goals, and strategy.
- Manage global client contacts and auditees, solidifying Siemens AG as a trusted advisor and helping to manage risks for the company.
- Interview clients to extract crucial information.
- Use analytical skills to identify root causes of findings and assist clients in developing improvement measures.
- Participate and lead audit closing meetings with management and support discussions with drawn conclusions from the engagement.
- Use a digital mindset to drive digitalization in the audit environment and prepare Siemens AG for future challenges.
- Show affinity for an agile audit approach and share expertise with others to find new solutions to well-known problems.
Requirements
- At least 8+ years of working experience in a financial services function within Siemens AG, a risk management / compliance / finance organization of a regulated financial institution, or alternatively in a financial services practice of a 'Big 4' / leading consulting firm.
- Profound knowledge in at least one of the following financial services areas: i) underwriting and portfolio monitoring of large international project finance, corporate and acquisition finance transactions, ii) financial services regulations / regulatory requirements, iii) Compliance, AML, CFT.
- Strong academic history, including a university degree in business / finance, ideally with a specialization in banking.
- Firm understanding of the rules, laws, and regulatory requirements of the European financial markets.
- Experience in the application of relevant Compliance related regulations and guidelines.
- General project management expertise in a complex global organization.
- Effective communication as well as presentation skills and attentive listening abilities in a global setting.
- Fluent in English, German is a plus.
- Flexibility to travel internationally as well as to live/embrace our work-remotely culture.
