As a Senior Applications Engineer at Qorvo, you will play a pivotal role in providing technical expertise and support for power management and SiC semiconductor applications in customer projects.
Key Responsibilities:- Deliver technical assistance and promote the integration of power management solutions in customer designs.
- Collaborate closely with the sales team to transform potential opportunities into successful design implementations.
- Provide on-site technical support and hands-on guidance to clients throughout the entire design process.
- Assist designers with component selection, system evaluation, board layout, validation testing, and post-production assistance.
- Contribute valuable insights from customer interactions to influence new product development and support during product launches.
- Build a comprehensive understanding of the power management product line to offer exceptional applications support.
- Utilize simulation tools to analyze and optimize power solutions.
- Foster strong relationships with clients and coordinate promotional activities with the sales team and distribution partners.
- Develop training materials and conduct technical workshops, seminars, and training sessions across Europe.
- Engage in collaborative development projects with customers as required.
- Gather regional feedback, product challenges, solutions, and enhancement suggestions, and relay this information to our Power Business Units.
- A Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or a related discipline.
- A minimum of 5 years of substantial experience in the design and development of power management, motor control, and battery management systems.
- Strong knowledge of SiC semiconductor components including Diodes, MOSFETs, and JFETs.
- Expertise in AC/DC, DC/DC converters, Power Distribution Units, BLDC, PMSM motor control, and Battery Management Systems.
- Familiarity with power measurement tools for testing and troubleshooting.
- Proficient in schematic capture, PCB layout techniques, thermal simulation, and analysis for high power and high voltage applications.
- Exceptional verbal, written, and presentation skills, complemented by strong interpersonal communication abilities.
- Proven track record in resolving technical issues faced by customers.
- Willingness to travel within Europe as necessary.
