Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Group Manager to join our team. As a key player in the development of processes and systems, you will be responsible for managing a team of 12 employees, dual students, and trainees, as well as coordinating the global deployment of resources.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage a team of 12 employees, dual students, and trainees in a professional and disciplinary capacity.
  • Represent the head of department and manage around 30 employees in foreign sister departments.
  • Take on customer requirements and familiarize yourself with the key content of contracts.
  • Allocate and manage project resources in an international, cross-location team.
  • Monitor progress using standard tools (e.g. REMA, MS Project).
  • Review project plans and carry out audits.
  • Participate in operational project management as needed.

Requirements

  • Master's or Diploma in an engineering discipline (e.g. communications engineering, electrical engineering) or comparable.
  • Many years of functionally experience in technical project management in the electronics or railroad industry.
  • Several years of functionally and disciplinary management experience.
  • Background in communications technology (e.g. radio or signal transmission).
  • Very good knowledge in the areas of network and mobile radio technology (e.g. IP networks, FRMCS, GSM-R, 5G, WLAN).
  • Fluency in English and willingness to travel (approx. 25%). Knowledge of German is an advantage.
