Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage direct materials including external machining, turned and milled parts, and intercompany procurement.
  • Develop and continuously review the product group strategy, including defining the procurement market.
  • Optimize costs and processes related to on-time delivery, availability, replenishment time, quality, innovation, and risk management for the respective product group.
  • Ensure contractual safeguarding of the supplier base focusing on costs, quality, delivery performance, and innovation.
  • Provide technical management of Operator Procurement in global cooperation.
  • Focus on commodity groups such as SIC, hard metal, oxide ceramics, and carbon.
  • Collaborate across departments on product standardization and development initiatives.
  • Manage supplier relationships including identification, selection, integration, evaluation, classification, development, and risk management.
  • Analyze, structure, and consolidate purchasing data.
  • Identify and implement potential savings.
  • Conduct inquiries and tenders, including negotiations and contract conclusions.

Required Qualifications:

  • A degree in business administration, industrial engineering, or a related field, or a comparable qualification.
  • A minimum of 5-7 years of experience in purchasing, procurement, or supply chain management.
  • Strong knowledge of purchasing processes.
  • Excellent negotiation skills combined with analytical and conceptual abilities.
  • High initiative, flexibility, and teamwork capabilities, along with an entrepreneurial mindset.
  • Proficient in MS Office and SAP MM.
  • Fluency in both German and English is essential.
  • Knowledge of materials technology for ceramic materials and elastomers is advantageous.
  • Willingness to travel as required.
