Key Responsibilities

Vane GmbH is seeking a skilled Credit Analyst to join our team. As a key member of our finance department, you will be responsible for analyzing financial information, identifying strategic issues and trends, and making credit decisions.

Key Tasks:

  • Analyze financial information and identify strategic issues and trends that affect companies, industries, and markets.
  • Conduct initial and ongoing credit analysis on our customer base and make credit decisions.
  • Establish credit lines and monitoring controls to ensure default rates are within acceptable limits.
  • Collaborate with internal departments, including Technology, Finance, and Sales, to ensure seamless communication and decision-making.
  • Work on strategic underwriting projects, such as improving underwriting processes and policies, automating underwriting processes, and developing scoring tools.
  • Advance the company's mission and objectives by promoting revenue, profitability, and strong growth.
  • Work with management to enhance the efficiency of risk and operations processes.
  • Ensure the precision of financial models, analyses, and documentation.
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • 3+ years of work experience in the finance industry, preferably in investment or commercial banking/lending, invoice financing, or with a credit rating agency.
  • Experience with credit underwriting processes and analyzing financial statements.
  • Familiarity with credit ratings and financial databases, as well as digital media and trends.
  • Strong analytical and decision-making skills, with a structured and detail-oriented working style.
  • Experience with invoice/receivables financing is a plus.
  • Ability and strong interest in working in a fast-paced, international team-oriented start-up environment, with a continuous improvement mindset.
  • Excellent communication skills, with fluency in English (German language skills are a plus but not required).
  • Strong university track record, preferably in economics, finance, or similar.
