In the context of the Commercial Space Station initiative, the selected candidate will undertake the following key responsibilities:
- Deliver expert guidance in Mission Planning, facilitating the design and evolution of Commercial Space Station operations through a collaborative and integrated approach, ensuring the successful preparation of essential deliverables;
- Engage in the definition and enhancement of Mission Planning for the Commercial Space Station;
- Establish Mission Planning scenarios that accurately represent the interfaces with Mission Operations, Engineering, and safety protocols;
- Identify and develop innovative mission support tools to enhance operational efficiency;
- Contribute to the Training Process with insights related to Mission Planning;
- Participate actively in program review sessions;
- Coordinate with various Mission functions and teams, including collaborations with NASA and Commercial Crew Transport and Cargo;
- Execute additional tasks as required and agreed upon.
The ideal candidate will possess the following qualifications and relevant experience:
- A degree in aerospace, electrical or mechanical engineering, computer science, or a related field;
- A minimum of 2 years of experience within the aerospace sector;
- Familiarity with spacecraft systems, subsystems architectures, and mission support concepts;
- Experience with Systems Engineering methodologies and tools, including Model-Based Systems Engineering (MBSE) and Requirements Engineering tools;
- Basic understanding of computer-aided design;
- Demonstrated ability to learn rapidly, work independently, and maintain a strong attention to detail;
- Excellent communication and presentation skills;
- Fluency in English is essential; proficiency in another European language is advantageous.
