Key Responsibilities

As a Mission Planning Engineer at HE Space, you will be part of the Commercial Space Station project in Airbus, contributing to the design and development of Starlab operations. Your key responsibilities will include:

  • Providing Mission Planning expertise and support to the design and development of Starlab operations, ensuring a collaborative and integrated approach.
  • Contributing to the definition and refinement of Commercial Space Station Mission Planning.
  • Defining Mission Planning scenarios, ensuring proper reflection of interfaces to Mission Operations, Engineering, and safety.
  • Identifying innovative sets of mission support tools.
  • Providing inputs for the Training Process regarding Mission Planning.
  • Participating in program reviews.
  • Coordinating with other Mission functions and teams, NASA, Commercial Crew Transport, and Cargo.
  • Performing other duties as agreed and required.
Requirements

You will have the following qualifications and relevant experience:

  • Degree in aerospace, electrical/mechanical engineering, computer science, or equivalent.
  • Knowledge of spacecraft systems and subsystems architectures and mission support concepts.
  • Experience with Systems Engineering processes, techniques, Model-Based Systems Engineering (MBSE), and tools (CAMEO), Requirements Engineering, and tools (DOORS, JAMA).
  • Basic knowledge of computer-aided design.
  • Ability to learn fast, work proactively, and comfortably work in full autonomy, with attention to details.
  • Good Communication and presentation skills.
  • Fluency in English is mandatory; knowledge of another European language is an advantage.
