Key Responsibilities
Management of Trading Operations
You will oversee trading operations by analyzing wholesale markets, performing market assessments, and recommending hedging and trading strategies. The execution of trading transactions will adhere to the Qcells risk management protocols, including Value at Risk (VaR), volume restrictions, and credit limits. Furthermore, you will collaborate closely with sales teams to cultivate new trading-related business opportunities and energy services.
Administration of Qcells Virtual Power Plant (VPP)
Your role will involve managing and optimizing generation facilities linked to the Qcells VPP. This encompasses the development of trading and marketing strategies for Qcells' flexible assets and decentralized energy resources (DER). You will also create strategic business models for Qcells clients, such as Direct Marketing, Flex Trading, and comprehensive supply solutions, in partnership with sales teams.
Empowering Team Leadership
You will lead and develop your team by overseeing recruitment processes, fostering employee growth, and managing the team's financial resources.
Participation in the Hedging Committee
As a vital member of the hedging committee, you will shape hedging strategies, ensure adherence to risk management policies, and work with senior management to align hedging initiatives with broader business goals.
Qualifications
- A degree in a relevant field related to the energy sector.
- Proven leadership experience with the ability to effectively guide and motivate a team.
- Strong project management skills, capable of managing multiple projects concurrently.
- Excellent analytical abilities and numerical proficiency for data-driven decision-making.
- In-depth understanding of the German energy market, including key stakeholders and current trends.
- Fluency in both German and English, facilitating effective communication across various teams and stakeholders.
