About the Role

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Working Student Meteorological Consulting to join our team at Dornier Suntrace GmbH. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for performing quality control of meteorological measurement data, preparing monthly reports for operational solar measurement stations, and conducting solar resource assessments.

Key Responsibilities
  • Quality control of meteorological measurement data
  • Preparation of monthly reports for operational solar measurement stations
  • Conducting solar resource assessments and improving our standards
  • Database hosting and maintenance (HDF database)
  • Active involvement with the met team for smooth operations of solar measurement campaigns
  • Evaluation of meteorological and other site-specific measurements
  • Installation of remote stations
  • Compilation of research results and writing management-oriented reports
  • Creation of meaningful presentations for internal and external stakeholders
Requirements
  • Majoring in meteorology or comparable academic qualifications
  • Deep understanding of meteorology
  • Profound experience with Python and LaTeX
  • Experience with GIS (QGIS), PVSyst, and AutoCAD as an advantage
  • Interest in renewable energy markets, meteorology, environmental measurements, and economics
  • Basic understanding of electronics and measurement principles as an advantage
  • Team player with open-minded personality in interdisciplinary and intercultural environments
  • Analytical, data-oriented, and focused on efficiency and solutions
  • Proficient in standard MS Office applications
  • Fluent in English and German, additional knowledge in other languages as an advantage
  • Self-motivated, careful, and independent working style
  • Customer-oriented with excellent communication skills
