Student Assistant in Regulatory Strategy

Eurex Frankfurt AG serves as the managing and operational body of the Eurex Deutschland derivatives exchange. The exchange provides a comprehensive array of international benchmark products, including a diverse selection of equity index derivatives, and is recognized for having the most liquid fixed-income markets globally. Additionally, the exchange features products such as dividend, ETF, and volatility derivatives.
Your Role

The Regulatory Strategy team at Eurex is tasked with managing the increasing volume of regulations affecting the derivatives exchange while navigating complexities to ensure commercial success. This involves developing tactical responses to various legislative proposals in close collaboration with both internal and external stakeholders. Discussions on regulatory proposals concerning financial markets, sustainable finance, or cryptocurrency markets are aligned with Eurex's decision-making areas and involve consultations with market participants, industry associations, and regulatory bodies. The team employs a range of qualitative and quantitative analyses to assess regulations, impacted markets, products, and participants. A significant aspect of this role includes providing regulatory advice and decision-making materials for Eurex board members, as well as facilitating alignment at the DBG level. Furthermore, representing Eurex at international industry associations and market participant committees, along with supporting regulatory outreach, completes the advocacy and educational responsibilities of the team.
Key Responsibilities:
Conduct research on financial market regulation topics and monitor consultations for advocacy while assisting in the development of positioning strategies. Perform market and competitive analyses in derivatives markets to support various strategic initiatives and projects within the team and Eurex. Assist in preparing presentations and documentation for different Eurex committees and executive board decision-making processes. Support administrative and organizational tasks in coordination with various interfaces.Your Profile:
You are currently enrolled in an academic program, preferably in business administration, economics, finance, derivatives risk management, or microstructural analysis. You have completed at least your first year of university studies. You possess strong organizational and communication skills, with the ability to work both independently and collaboratively. Proficiency in MS Office applications, particularly MS Excel and MS PowerPoint, is essential; programming skills are an advantage.
