Position Overview
As a pivotal member of UPM Biochemicals, the Manager of Technical Marketing for Renewable Functional Fillers (RFF) will play a crucial role in advancing our mission to create a sustainable future. This permanent position offers the flexibility of remote work or can be based in our designated office.
Key Responsibilities
- Foster strong relationships with clients to ensure the successful marketing of our innovative renewable functional fillers.
- Deliver expert technical assistance regarding the application and management of RFFs to both direct clients and distributors within the rubber and plastics sectors.
- Oversee and facilitate the approval processes for UPM's renewable functional fillers with customers.
- Engage with potential clients in the rubber and plastics industries to introduce our RFF offerings.
- Gather and analyze customer feedback and technical requirements, relaying insights to the Sales & Marketing teams for strategic decision-making.
- Provide comprehensive technical services, including on-site product trials, evaluation of test outcomes, and training for customers and distributors.
- Create technical documentation for clients, such as product specifications and application guidelines, and represent UPM at industry trade shows and conferences.
- Act as the primary resource for all technical inquiries related to UPM's renewable functional fillers, covering aspects such as product quality, application efficiency, handling, safety, and sustainability.
Candidate Profile
- A university degree in chemistry, polymer engineering, or materials science is required.
- Over five years of experience in the rubber and plastics industry is essential.
- In-depth knowledge of functional fillers, polymers, compounding, and processing techniques is necessary.
- A strong commercial acumen, capable of aligning customer needs with business objectives.
- Proficiency in MS Office 365 and familiarity with CRM systems, such as Salesforce.
- Fluency in English and German, with excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Demonstrated confidence in decision-making, ownership of objectives, and strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Willingness to travel internationally, particularly within the EU.
