Engineering Team Lead

As a Technical Lead at Nitrado (marbis GmbH), you will oversee a dedicated team of engineers responsible for the development and upkeep of a sophisticated game server orchestration platform that supports numerous popular online games. Your role will involve close collaboration with product managers and various stakeholders to shape the platform's roadmap and architecture. Additionally, you will mentor and nurture your team members, promoting a culture of collaboration, innovation, and excellence.
Your ResponsibilitiesYou will lead the engineering team to ensure the delivery of high-quality, scalable, and dependable solutions.
You will define and execute the technical strategy, architecture, and best practices for the game server orchestration platform.
You will work in conjunction with product managers and other engineering teams to synchronize on the product vision, roadmap, and priorities.
You will provide technical mentorship, constructive feedback, and conduct code reviews for your team members.
You will be responsible for hiring, onboarding, mentoring, and developing engineers, aiding in their professional growth.
You will cultivate a culture centered on innovation, collaboration, and customer focus.
You will contribute to and utilize open-source software and communities.
You possess a bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent professional experience.
You have a minimum of 5 years of experience in software engineering, including at least 2 years in a leadership role.
You have a strong background in Go and Kubernetes, along with familiarity with cloud-native technologies and practices.
You have experience in designing, developing, and maintaining distributed systems, microservices, and APIs.
Experience in game server orchestration or game development is preferred but not mandatory.
You exhibit excellent communication, collaboration, and problem-solving abilities.
Experience in game development and creating products for developers is advantageous.
