Senior Engineer System Safety Specialist

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Engineer System Safety to join our team in Germany. As a key member of our safety engineering team, you will be responsible for ensuring that Airbus products are developed and designed in accordance with relevant airworthiness regulations and safety objectives.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform System Safety Assessment activities for aircraft systems, supporting the phases during and after certification.
- Generate and update assessments (Functional Hazard Assessment/System Safety Assessment) of intended design modifications to influence the system architecture according to the required System Safety/System Integrity.
- Perform safety analysis of in-service events and support the continued airworthiness process.
- Perform Risk Analyses, according to the applicable guidance and standards, which are required to support the continuous aircraft development (including Permit to Fly/Type Certificate).
- Perform analyses of Common-Cause (Particular Risk Analysis, Zonal Safety Analysis and Common Mode Analysis).
- Determine the particular Safety requirements for system developments or modifications with respect to hardware and software.
- Manage input from and output to interfacing technical domains and technology (processes, maintenance, human error, aircraft performance and quality, etc.).
- Review, approval and application of supplier data regarding Safety and Reliability Generating the System Safety Assessment documentation, based on traceable results and evidence, as mandatory proof to acquire the Type Certificate.
Requirements:
- A completed degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechatronics Engineering, Aerospace Engineering or equivalent.
- Appropriate knowledge and experience in the above-mentioned areas of responsibility.
- Knowledge/understanding of Aircraft systems.
- Comprehensive System Safety Assessment experience and advanced knowledge of Safety processes, regulations and guidelines (ARP 4761, ARP 4754A).
- Target-oriented with analytic problem-solving skills.
- Willing to learn new things.
- Able to perform several Systems Safety tasks in parallel.
- A team player, organized and autonomous person with good communication skills.
- Very good written and spoken English and German.
