Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Data Architect to join our Strategy & Data Analytics team at Haufe Group. As a Data Architect, you will play a key role in developing a future-proof data architecture that drives business and product-driven data analytics for our business unit COS.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop a comprehensive data architecture that aligns with business objectives and drives data-driven decision making.
  • Review and improve the data system, including data model designs, process flows, and end-use cases.
  • Establish data architecture principles, standards, and guidelines.
  • Continuously review current data modeling principles and initiate improvements to enable the implementation of the intended architecture.
  • Create an inventory of data and tools needed to implement a scalable data architecture.
  • Promote data innovation across Haufe/COS, experimenting with new approaches and confronting complex problems.
  • Collaborate closely with the Head of Strategy & Data Analytics and Head of Technology, as well as the data analytics team.

Requirements

  • 3-5+ years of experience in the data space as an architect or engineer.
  • 3-5+ years of professional experience using programming languages such as Python, Java, Scala, or others (Python preferred).
  • Hands-on experience with ETL/ELT.
  • Extensive understanding of analytical engineering and SQL.
  • Experience using dbt to create new and expand existing data models.
  • Orchestration of data processing jobs on-premise or in the cloud.
  • Demonstrated experience in managing the same data model & architecture over time, evolving the model to meet business requirements.
  • Create and maintain architecture and systems documentation.
  • Knowledge of DevOps or DataOps is a plus.
