We are seeking a highly skilled Data Architect to join our Strategy & Data Analytics team at Haufe Group. As a Data Architect, you will be responsible for designing and implementing a future-proof data architecture that supports business-driven data analytics for the COS business unit.
Key Responsibilities:- Develop a scalable data architecture that meets business requirements and enables data-driven decision-making.
- Review and improve the existing data system, including data model designs, process flows, and end-use cases.
- Establish data architecture principles, standards, and guidelines to ensure consistency and quality.
- Continuously review and improve current data modeling principles to enable the implementation of the intended architecture.
- Create an inventory of data and tools needed to implement a scalable data architecture.
- Promote data innovation across Haufe/COS by experimenting with new approaches and confronting complex problems.
- Collaborate closely with the Head of Strategy & Data Analytics and Head of Technology to ensure alignment and effective implementation.
- 3-5+ years of experience in the data space as an architect or engineer.
- 3-5+ years of professional experience using programming languages such as Python, Java, Scala, or others (Python preferred).
- Hands-on experience with ETL/ELT.
- Extensive understanding of analytical engineering and SQL.
- Experience using dbt to create new and expand existing data models.
- Demonstrated experience in managing the same data model & architecture over time, evolving the model to meet business requirements.
- Create and maintain architecture and systems documentation.
- Flexibility to work at Campus Freiburg at least once a month for three consecutive days.
