CK Group is a leading recruitment agency specializing in the life sciences industry. We are currently partnering with a rapidly expanding biotechnology firm that specializes in advanced technology, seeking a highly motivated Business Development Representative to join their team.
Role Overview
As a Business Development Representative, you will play a key role in identifying and developing strategic business opportunities for the company. This position offers a unique opportunity to integrate scientific knowledge with business acumen within a dynamic biotech environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Identify and establish external business opportunities for out-licensing, co-development, and structured transactions within the pharmaceutical and biotechnology sectors.
- Develop compelling business cases for external opportunities, supported by thorough analysis and input from internal and external stakeholders. Present these cases to the management team effectively.
- Lead and manage cross-functional due diligence processes, coordinating with R&D, CMC, Clinical, Regulatory, Operations, and Finance teams. Serve as the primary point of contact for business development initiatives.
- Oversee all aspects of business development operations, including proposal development, term sheet negotiation, deal closure, and alliance management.
- Contribute to the ongoing refinement of business development and licensing strategies aligned with corporate goals and portfolio objectives.
- Represent the company at industry conferences, investor meetings, and partnering events, fostering relationships with key players in the pharmaceutical and biotechnology industries.
Required Skills and Experience
- A Master's degree in science, MBA, MD, or Ph.D. in Pharmacology, Immunology, Cancer Biology, or a related field in Biomedical Sciences is highly preferred.
- At least 2+ years of experience in business development, R&D, or strategic planning within the life sciences industry.
- Extensive knowledge of business development, licensing, and pharmaceutical R&D processes.
- Strong strategic thinking and analytical abilities with proven experience.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to tailor messages to various internal and external stakeholders.
- Strong interpersonal and project management skills, capable of thriving in a dynamic, fast-paced, matrix environment.
- A collaborative mindset and ability to work effectively within a team.
- Bilingual fluency in Mandarin and English is required.
