Job Description

As a Senior R2R General Ledger Accounting Expert at Syntegon Technology GmbH, you will play a crucial role in preparing and submitting timely and accurate financial statements for group legal entities in accordance with IFRS and German GAAP (HGB).

Key Responsibilities
  • Financial Statement Preparation: Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements for group legal entities, ensuring compliance with IFRS and German GAAP (HGB) standards.
  • Accounting Support: Provide expert accounting support to entities and stakeholders, offering advice on accounting and process-related matters.
  • Process Improvement: Proactively identify areas for process improvement and drive the implementation of solutions to optimize and harmonize accounting processes.
  • Stakeholder Management: Act as the primary point of contact for assigned units, auditors, tax advisors, authorities, and other internal and external stakeholders.
Requirements
  • Education and Experience: Hold a degree in Business Administration with a focus on Finance, Accounting, Auditing, Tax, or a similar field, combined with several years of relevant professional experience in Accounting functions.
  • Accounting Knowledge: Possess strong knowledge of HGB and IFRS accounting standards, as well as German tax law.
  • Analytical and Communication Skills: Demonstrate excellent analytical skills, a high level of engagement, and an independent and structured approach to work.
  • Technical Skills: Have comprehensive experience with SAP R/3 in the FI module.
  • Language Skills: Be proficient in English, both written and spoken, and feel comfortable in an international environment. Good German language skills are also required for this position.
  • Teamwork and Results-Oriented Mindset: Exhibit excellent teamwork skills, be reliable, and have a strong results-oriented mindset.
  • Relocation: Possess a permanent work permit valid for Germany, and be willing to relocate to Waiblingen, Germany.
