We are now entering the next stage by establishing a Carbon Capture, Utilization and Storage (CCU/S) division to offer our sustainable contracting solutions along the entire CO2 value chain. Our innovative, intelligent IQ Energy solution marks a significant milestone in the transition to net-zero.
Your Responsibilities- Lead commercial projects to implement large-scale carbon capture plants at industrial sites and power plants across Europe, focusing on post-combustion carbon capture with capacities over 100 kt/a.
- Manage contracts and claims, including setting up commercial specifications, tendering, evaluation, negotiation, and finalization of EPC and engineering contracts, supported by legal and technical specialists throughout the project lifecycle.
- Deal with standardized international supply contracts and national laws, ensuring compliance and effective negotiation.
- Act as a process link between the project and E.ON's central procurement department in Essen, facilitating communication and collaboration.
- Continuously monitor and report project budgets, manage risks from award phase to acceptance, and ensure compliance with requirements and standards.
- Pre-qualify suppliers and service providers to ensure they meet project requirements and standards.
- Hold a university degree or equivalent with a solid commercial background and profound knowledge of tendering and procurement procedures, including international contract management and legal frameworks.
- Have several years of experience in commercial project and contract management for process plant construction, energy industry, or related sectors.
- Be a strong purchaser capable of handling complex situations, with an entrepreneurial mindset, ability to work independently, and high level of commitment.
- Be able to enter technical, process engineering areas, and specifications, as well as legal topics and contract law, to understand procurement in a holistic way.
- Have excellent written and spoken English and German fluency (at least B2 level), with knowledge of other languages a plus.
- Be proficient in SAP BI and SAP Materials Management, with very good MS Office skills, especially Excel.
- Be available for short business trips in Europe to meet customers and stakeholders.
