The Tax team within our Finance & Controlling department operates from multiple locations. As a Working Student in this team, your primary responsibility will be to assist with various tasks related to wage tax and global mobility tax compliance.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIESThe Wage Tax team handles the flat-rate income tax obligations as per German tax regulations. Your duties will include:
- Supporting the monthly taxation process.
- Requesting and filing necessary documentation.
- Maintaining detailed Excel spreadsheets.
- Managing the SharePoint filing system.
- Reviewing event-related costs.
- Serving as a point of contact for inquiries received via email.
In addition, the Global Mobility Tax Team ensures adherence to wage tax and social security laws, double taxation agreements, and reporting obligations. Your contributions will involve:
- Assisting in the preparation of necessary certifications.
- Acting as a liaison regarding travel schedules.
- Supporting various projects and process improvements.
The ideal candidate will possess a strong numerical aptitude and a keen interest in financial matters. You should demonstrate an organized, independent, and service-oriented approach to work, complemented by flexibility, dedication, and professionalism.
QUALIFICATIONS- Currently enrolled in a degree program with a focus on economics.
- Previous experience in finance is advantageous but not essential.
- Proficiency in MS Office, particularly Excel, and familiarity with Windows 10.
- Strong command of both written and spoken English, alongside excellent German language skills.
As a Working Student, you will integrate into the G&A Finance Team, collaborating with a diverse group of over 50 professionals, including seven experienced colleagues in your immediate team.
