Personnel Specialist with 19.5 Hours

About the Role:

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Personnel Specialist to join our team at Forschungszentrum Jülich. As a key member of our HR department, you will be responsible for a wide range of tasks, including:

  • Preparing and submitting applications, activity reports, and other correspondence related to personnel measures, such as appointments, reassignments, transfers, bonuses, training measures, and terminations, in collaboration with the Personnel Department and external partners.
  • Contributing to personnel planning and development.
  • Creating statistics and reports.
  • Calculating and controlling absences, as well as performing corrections in the electronic time recording system.
  • Collaborating with the Financial and Project Control team to create and maintain time and attendance records.
  • Handling correspondence, both independently and in accordance with instructions.
  • Performing general and demand-oriented administrative tasks.
  • Providing support to the Team Leadership and Administration.

About You:

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A completed degree in Business Administration or a comparable field with relevant work experience.
  • Excellent knowledge of labor law (TVöD Bund) and regulations regarding leave and working hours, as well as experience with SAP/HR (HCM).
  • Professional experience, preferably in a similar role.
  • Excellent German language skills, both written and spoken, as well as the ability to create clear and concise texts.
  • Good English language skills, with secure listening and reading comprehension.
  • A friendly and service-oriented attitude towards work.
  • The ability to work collaboratively as part of a team.
  • Engagement, flexibility, and a sense of responsibility.

Desirable Qualifications:

  • Knowledge of the structure of vocational training, further education, and university programs in the technical and natural sciences.
  • Knowledge of the European higher education system and relevant terminology.
  • Knowledge of the organizational structure of Forschungszentrum Jülich.
