Electrical Engineer (m/w/d) Job Description

Job Summary: We are seeking a highly skilled Electrical Engineer to join our team at U.S. Army Europe and Africa. As an Electrical Engineer, you will be responsible for designing and developing electrical systems for US Army facilities, including power and light distribution systems, transformer stations, and generating plants.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design and develop electrical systems for US Army facilities, including power and light distribution systems, transformer stations, and generating plants.
  • Plan and review projects and studies prepared by in-house personnel and external engineer firms in the field of electrical engineering.
  • Develop studies and alternate solutions to problems, preliminary and final designs, technical specifications, and cost estimates.
  • Analyze and evaluate manufacturers' proposed products and devices to determine acceptability for use as standard throughout the command.
  • Provide technical advice and recommendations as required during construction.

Requirements:

  • Graduate from a Fachhochschule, a Berufsakademie, or a Technische Hochschule as an Engineer in the discipline specifically required for the position.
  • Valid driver's license class B and ability to obtain/maintain a military motor vehicle operator's license.
  • English Language Proficiency Level C1 and German Language Proficiency Level C2.

Working Conditions:

  • Situational teleworking possible.
  • Occasional temporary duty travel (TDY) required.
  • Heavy lifting up to 10 lbs. required.
