Senior Foundry Technology Specialist

About the Operations Engineering Division (OED): The OED serves as the pivotal team that collaborates with all Business Unit Design and Development teams, along with other departments such as Sales, Marketing, Business Operations, Foundry Operations, and Testing. This division is responsible for overseeing all process technology and Process Design Kit (PDK) development for both internal and external foundry operations. Our highly skilled team, primarily composed of individuals with advanced degrees, plays a crucial role in advancing Test Technology, Foundry Operations, and Yield Management. Our exceptional contributions drive aggressive New Product Introduction (NPI) strategies and ongoing improvements in cost efficiency and gross margins.
Key Responsibilities: As a device/process authority, you will support all design teams within the organization. The selected candidate will be expected to:
- Facilitate effective communication among OED Engineering teams (including Process Technology, PDK Development, and Quality) and Product Groups, as well as Sales and Marketing, to ensure seamless execution of New Product Introductions to Ramp.
- Provide guidance to product design teams regarding process technology alternatives, optimal power device layout practices, and general design support.
- Collaborate with product design and layout engineers to conduct Design Rule Check (DRC) reviews, layout validations, and other process assessments to ensure successful product tape-out.
- Engage closely with quality and product engineers to identify and resolve process-related yield, quality, and manufacturing challenges.
- Lead internal and external manufacturing teams to guarantee adherence to quality standards and timely delivery.
- Contribute to the definition, documentation, management, and continuous enhancement of assigned processes to align with the needs and expectations of key stakeholders.
- Work autonomously within cross-functional and international teams across various regions.
Qualifications:
- A Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, a related discipline, or equivalent experience.
- A minimum of 10 years of experience in the semiconductor sector as a process/device engineer or foundry interface engineer, with experience in collaborating with foundries on diverse process technologies.
- In-depth knowledge and experience in devices and process technology, particularly in integrated high voltage and/or power applications.
- Familiarity with common analog power management circuit components and the ability to engage with design teams on these topics.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills suitable for various audiences (designers, foundries, management) and the capability to mentor junior engineers.
Preferred Qualifications:
- A Master's or Ph.D. degree in Electrical Engineering or a related discipline.
