Position Title: Professor of Computer Science

We are seeking a committed professional to enhance the teaching and research initiatives at Hochschule RheinMain. The ideal candidate should possess the following qualifications:

Candidate Profile

  • Completed degree in Computer Science or a closely related technical discipline
  • Proven track record of academic research, typically demonstrated through a high-quality doctoral dissertation
  • Extensive knowledge and hands-on experience in fields such as Operating Systems, Distributed Systems, Cloud and Container Infrastructures, System and Service Architectures, IoT, Web Technologies, Real-time Processing, and Embedded Systems
  • Fluency in English for instruction in both English and German
  • A strong passion for education evidenced by a well-defined teaching philosophy
  • Research experience validated by publications and relevant activities, preferably in pertinent domains

Key Responsibilities

  • Deliver courses in Computer Science programs utilizing various instructional formats including in-person, online, and hybrid, primarily in English
  • Provide foundational courses as required and collaborate with other academic departments
  • Contribute to ongoing research frameworks, particularly in Smart Systems for Human and Technology
  • Lead research and/or practical initiatives, secure external funding, and manage projects
  • Engage in academic governance and administration
