About the Role: As part of this internship, you will engage in the development of optical metrology systems utilizing coherent illumination and detection techniques for precise pose determination of workpieces. Your responsibilities will include:

  • Creating and testing innovative algorithms for pose estimation
  • Conducting proof-of-concept experiments on prototypes
  • Assessing alternative metrology methods
  • Researching existing solutions in scientific and patent literature
  • Performing quantitative simulations of tolerance budgets
  • Documenting test outcomes

Qualifications: We seek candidates with a background in STEM fields such as Photonics, Physics, Computer Vision, or Electrical Engineering. Ideal candidates will possess:

  • A bachelor's degree in a relevant discipline
  • Practical experience with programming languages such as Python, Matlab, or C++
  • A keen interest in metrology
  • The ability to work collaboratively and gain valuable insights into a forward-thinking company
