About the Role:

We are seeking a highly skilled Finance and Accounting Specialist to join our team at Kia Europe. As a key member of our finance department, you will be responsible for ensuring the accuracy and integrity of our financial operations.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Verify, allocate, post, and reconcile business transactions.
  • Process incoming and outgoing invoices.
  • Handle travel expense and business expense reports.
  • Assist in the development and regular update of finance policies and procedures.
  • Process bank account statements.
  • Support asset accounting.
  • Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements according to IFRS and HGB.
  • Prepare the payment run.
  • Assist in the preparation of VAT returns and ZM.
  • Communicate effectively with departments, customers, and suppliers.
  • Support internal and external audits.
  • Create ad hoc reports.
  • Contribute to process improvements and IT system enhancements.
  • Provide insights to support decision-making processes.
  • Assist in budgeting and forecasting activities.
  • Perform reconciliations of financial accounts and resolve discrepancies.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date financial records.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or a related field.
  • Proven track record as an accountant.
  • Minimum 2 years of relevant work experience in finance and accounting.
  • Strong knowledge of German GAAP standards and financial regulations.
  • Proficiency in financial analysis and reporting.
  • Excellent attention to detail and analytical skills.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Team spirit and cooperation is essential.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
  • Proven capability with SAP and Microsoft Office products.
  • Dynamic and future-oriented mindset.
  • Fluent in German, good communication skills in English, any further language is a plus.
