Talent Development Consultant

Position Overview:

This role is pivotal in shaping and executing strategies related to talent management, succession planning, and performance enhancement. The incumbent will serve as a liaison for various key departments, playing a crucial role in the advancement of our organizational objectives through targeted development initiatives.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Engage with HR Business Partners and senior leadership to provide comprehensive talent management solutions.
  • Leverage expertise in talent management methodologies.
  • Oversee relationships with talent management and organizational development vendors.
  • Lead projects of varying sizes within the talent management and organizational development sectors.

Talent & Succession Planning:

  • Facilitate talent assessment sessions to create succession plans, identify high-potential individuals, and develop tailored growth plans.
  • Monitor and evaluate the progress of high-potential employees.
  • Advise leadership on performance metrics and developmental requirements.
  • Assist in the preparation and maintenance of documentation for the talent management team.

Executive and Talent Development:

  • Collaborate with Learning and Development teams to provide integrated talent solutions to HR and business stakeholders.
  • Support initiatives aimed at developing executives and high-potential talent.
  • Advise business leaders on leadership development strategies based on the 70/20/10 learning model.
  • Conduct comprehensive feedback assessments, including 360-degree evaluations.

Career Development:

  • Facilitate career pathing frameworks tailored to specific business needs.
  • Provide one-on-one career planning consultations for senior-level employees.

Organizational Development and Competency Framework:

  • Design and implement team development initiatives.
  • Collaborate with HR Business Partners and leadership to establish competency-based job descriptions.
  • Support the rollout of competency models and frameworks.

Performance Management Expertise:

  • Serve as a subject matter expert in performance management for HR and business clients.
  • Act as a trusted advisor to HR Business Partners, offering solutions for performance-related challenges.

Qualifications:

  • Two to five years of experience in talent management, focusing on organizational development, training, and performance management.
  • Relevant certifications such as SHRM-CP/SCP or S/PHR are advantageous.
  • Proven ability to build credible relationships across all organizational levels.
  • Experience with competency models is preferred.
  • Strong collaborative spirit and team-oriented mindset.
  • Exceptional attention to detail and adaptability to change.
  • Ability to work autonomously with minimal supervision.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to engage effectively with senior leadership.
  • Experience handling confidential information is essential.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite.
