Optics Engineer Straylight (m/f/d)

Key Responsibilities
- Design, analyze, and simulate straylight for optical systems from initial concept through to implementation.
- Serve as the technical liaison with suppliers and subcontractors during development phases related to straylight.
- Establish verification, characterization, and correction methodologies for optical straylight.
- Define requirements for optical systems and associated equipment.
- Conduct trade studies to inform optical design choices.
- Present findings in both internal and external forums.
- Assist in opto-mechanical integration, alignment, and testing processes.
- Develop and maintain comprehensive technical documentation.

Required Qualifications
- Degree in optics, physics, or a related discipline.
- Expertise in straylight analysis, design, and validation.
- Experience in the development of optical instruments for space applications.
- Proficient with straylight analysis tools (e.g., ASAP, FRED) and optical design software (e.g., ZEMAX, Code V).
- Programming skills in Python and MatLab.
- Ability to collaborate effectively within diverse teams and projects.
- Strong organizational and communication abilities.
- Detail-oriented and motivated with a systematic approach.
- Excellent proficiency in written and spoken English.

Desirable Skills
- Background in the space-flight sector (involvement with ESA or DLR projects).
- Experience working in clean room environments (ISO5 to ISO 8).
