Lead Engineer for HiL Simulation Systems

Position Overview:
As a Lead Engineer for Hardware-in-the-Loop (HiL) Simulation Systems, you will be instrumental in the design, development, and commissioning of HiL simulators tailored for electronic control units in the aerospace and automotive sectors. Your primary focus will be on simulators related to electric drive systems (inverters, DC/DC converters), engine control systems (FADEC), and mechatronic test benches for electronic steering systems.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conceptualization, design, assembly, commissioning, and acceptance testing of HiL simulators for intricate electronic and mechatronic systems.
- Management and support of HiL simulators within the automotive and aerospace industries.
- Development of real-time capable control unit models and environmental models.
- Execution and management of control unit tests on HiL (both manual and automated).
- Coordination with external vendors and suppliers.
- Assumption of project responsibilities.
- Technical guidance and mentorship of team members.
Required Qualifications:
- A completed degree in Electronics, Electrical Engineering, Mechatronics, Physics, or a related field.
- Several years of professional experience in one or more of the following areas: real-time simulation, HiL simulation, rapid prototyping, MATLAB/Simulink, LabView, design and construction of HiL simulators, electric drive technology.
- Proficient in measurement technology.
- Solid understanding of bus systems, sensors, and actuators from the automotive or aerospace domains.
- Experience with real-time systems such as dSPACE, Concurrent Computers, National Instruments, or similar technologies.
- A cross-disciplinary mindset.
- Independent and responsible working style within a project team, along with a high degree of flexibility and customer orientation.
- Excellent command of both German and English, spoken and written.
