Service Engineer for Advanced Systems

Position Overview

We are seeking a dedicated Field Service Engineer to provide exceptional support for our clients with existing and future installations of sophisticated tools at various locations.

New graduates are welcome to apply, provided they exhibit a strong practical aptitude and a commitment to excellence.

** Location: Dresden/ Freiberg **

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Primarily accountable for customer service operations related to the updating, troubleshooting, diagnosing, and repairing of intricate capital equipment at client sites.
  • Act as the company representative to clients, ensuring high levels of customer satisfaction with service delivery.
  • Ensure the operational quality of system equipment by coordinating with clients to minimize downtime.
  • Prepare detailed field service reports documenting customer support activities and provide insights to other teams regarding recurring issues. May assist installation engineers in problem resolution.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Certified engineer (Bachelor, Master, Diplom) or equivalent from an advanced technical institution, or approximately 3 years of relevant work experience.
  • Proficient in understanding and troubleshooting issues in software, electronics, optics, mechanical, electro-mechanical, and electro-optical systems to resolve on-site customer challenges.
  • Strong customer relations skills and excellent analytical problem-solving abilities.
  • Capability to perform under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
  • Ability to collaborate effectively within a diverse team.
  • Fluency in English and German is essential.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office applications.
  • Experience in the semiconductor or electronics sector is advantageous.
  • The ideal candidate should be hands-on, eager to learn, and enthusiastic about engaging with clients and our internal divisions.
  • Willingness to travel domestically and internationally, up to 30% of the time.

Successful candidates will receive formal training at one of our prestigious training centers located in California, Singapore, or Taiwan.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS
