About the Position

In the world of venture capital, the success of innovative ideas hinges on effective sales strategies. At Project A Ventures, we recognize that even the most brilliant founders may struggle without the right tools to scale their businesses. Our team of revenue experts is dedicated to empowering our portfolio companies by offering top-tier guidance across their entire commercial journey.

The Graduate Program is designed to cultivate the next generation of commercial leaders and entrepreneurs. Over the course of this 18-month program, you will engage with approximately four of our ventures, assisting them in various commercial challenges.

Our alumni have transitioned into impactful roles such as Chief of Staff at a leading solar startup, General Manager for a digital printing firm in the UK, and Head of Sales & GTM at Project A.

Our Sales team comprises specialists focused on enhancing the Go-To-Market (GTM) strategies of our portfolio companies, spanning both venture capital and private equity investments. The team provides unparalleled expertise in Sales, Growth, GTM Strategy, Revenue Operations, and Commercial Transformation.

Program Overview:
  • The program lasts for 18 months, featuring multiple projects (3-5) across different portfolio companies.
  • Following an intensive 4-week training at Project A, you will embark on your first project with one of our ventures.
  • You will have weekly mentorship meetings and participate in regular training sessions at Project A with your team.
  • Learning opportunities will align with your interests, allowing you to explore areas such as marketing, data analysis, product development, and more.
  • Our aim is to continue collaborating with you post-program, whether within Project A or across our portfolio; your development is a priority, and we are committed to supporting you.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Implement Operational Sales strategies - identify new business opportunities through various outreach methods (in-person meetings, social media, phone, email), test hypotheses, gather customer insights, and refine sales approaches regularly.
  • Conduct market analysis, devise market entry strategies, and establish new commercial processes.
  • Execute GTM strategies - research lead sources, define ideal client segments, identify message-market fit, optimize CRM systems, and assess data requirements.
  • Gain comprehensive exposure to all commercial aspects of a startup and private equity investment firm, including business development, operational sales, marketing, content creation, CRM, process enhancement, and transformation.
  • Develop a T-shaped skill set, gaining expertise in essential areas such as project management and stakeholder engagement while broadening your knowledge across various functions to drive business success.
Candidate Profile:
  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in business or a related field - please include your academic records with your application.
  • Professional experience in startups, consulting, sales, or other commercial roles is preferred.
  • Experience in customer-facing positions is highly advantageous.
  • Strong interest in sales and enthusiasm for daily customer interactions.
  • Willingness to travel 3-4 days per week when working onsite with our portfolio companies.
  • A collaborative team player with excellent communication skills.
  • Passionate about data, structure, and analytics.
  • A quick learner with a startup mindset (enthusiastic, self-driven, and proactive).
  • Fluency in German (native) and English at a negotiation level.
