Electrical Project Manager

Job Title: Communication Project Leader 2

Seeking a seasoned Communication Project Leader with expertise in electrical and technology applications. The ideal candidate will possess core competencies in one or more of the following subjects:

  • Electrical systems, including power distribution and lighting systems
  • Electronic security systems, including access control, CCTV, and information assurance
  • Telecommunications infrastructure, including ISP/OSP, wireless, and DAS systems
  • Audio Visual systems

The successful candidate will have at least 5 years of project management experience, with a proven track record in leading Federal programs with a focus on technology applications. They will be responsible for managing multiple task orders, worth $500K to $10M, with a team of 20-30 personnel, specialty trade partners, and overseeing design-build projects.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Manage multiple task orders, worth $500K to $10M, with a team of 20-30 personnel
  • Lead design-build projects, including electrical, normal and emergency power, electronic security systems, CCTV, access control, A/V, telecommunications, ISP/OSP, wireless, and other technology applications
  • Develop installation execution plans, determining labor requirements and dispatching tradesmen to construction sites
  • Plan, organize, and direct activities concerned with the upgrade and renovation of existing facilities
  • Interpret and explain plans and contract terms to administrative staff, workers, and clients
  • Negotiate revisions, changes, and additions to contractual agreements with customers, consultants, suppliers, and subcontractors
  • Work directly with supervisors to direct engineering, construction, testing, and commissioning activities
  • Monitor project budgets to ensure positive cash flow and maintain profitability
  • Inspect and review projects to monitor compliance with building and safety codes, and other regulations
Requirements:
  • 10 years of experience, with at least 5 years in project management, responsible for budget, schedule, and delivery
  • Experience working with management systems, including estimating, scheduling, and job cost reporting
  • Experience in operational risk management and knowledge of safety and quality control requirements
  • Proficient in reading drawings, schematics, and interpreting statements of work (SOW) to develop cost proposals and execution plans
  • Proficiency in the Critical Path Method (CPM) scheduling method and General Contractor Schedules
  • Ability to obtain a Top Secret Clearance
