As an Assortment Manager, you'll work closely with our purchasing department to ensure our assortment aligns with market trends and customer demand. You'll be responsible for developing and maintaining a diverse range of products that cater to the specific needs of our valued retail partners such as Rewe, Real,- Kaufland, and Edeka.
Your Responsibilities:
- Conduct thorough research and analysis to identify promising product trends and opportunities within the bookselling market.
- Collaborate with publishers and suppliers to secure exclusive deals and negotiate favorable terms for our retail partners.
- Develop compelling presentations and proposals that effectively communicate our product offerings and value proposition to key clients.
- Manage a dedicated product group, ensuring consistent quality control and timely delivery of products to our retail network.
- Stay abreast of industry best practices and emerging trends in the bookselling sector to continuously optimize our assortment strategy.
Your Profile:
- A strong educational background in business administration, marketing, or a related field is preferred.
- Demonstrated experience in retail merchandising, product management, or a similar role within the publishing industry.
- Exceptional analytical and problem-solving skills with a keen eye for detail.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with both internal and external stakeholders.
