About the Role
Munich Re is seeking a highly skilled Closing Coordination Specialist IFRS 17 to join our team. As a key member of our organization, you will be responsible for coordinating and managing the IFRS 17 closing process, ensuring timely and accurate completion of quarterly close activities.
Key Responsibilities
- Coordinate and manage the IFRS 17 closing process, including data collection, validation, and reporting.
- Develop and maintain the IFRS 17 closing calendar, ensuring all stakeholders are informed and aligned.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless data delivery and processing.
- Identify and escalate any issues that may impact the closing process, ensuring timely resolution.
- Develop and maintain control reports to ensure accurate and timely reporting.
- Support the implementation and maintenance of financial systems and processes.
Requirements
- 3+ years of experience in accounting and reporting, preferably in a multi-GAAP environment.
- Strong understanding of data processing, data analytics, and data management.
- Knowledge of financial systems interfaces and data warehousing (SAP, Power BI, MS SQL).
- Experience in process design and process monitoring.
- Accounting and/or actuarial expertise in insurance/reinsurance (P&C and/or LH), preferably knowledge of IFRS17.
- Excellent command of English; German language skills are an advantage.
- Excellent analytical and conceptual skills.
