Your tasks
- Assist in transforming accounting data into quarterly, semi-annual, and annual financial statements in accordance with IFRS and/or HGB.
- Support external audits and coordinate additional audits as needed.
- Continuously assess the effectiveness of complex end-to-end processes to address financial reporting risks.
- Review balance sheet and P&L reconciliations as part of regular accounting processes, ensuring timely and relevant documentation while challenging underlying assumptions.
- Prepare and review documentation related to reporting treatments and accounting matters.
- Contribute to the enhancement of our internal control structure and finance processes, managing the resolution of financial control issues when necessary.
- Collaborate with other finance teams to implement IFRS and/or HGB accounting changes.
- Provide financial analysis and act as a sparring partner to other teams to achieve company-focused goals, including finance transformation strategies.
- Liaise with external service providers, auditors, and tax advisors.
What you offer us
- A minimum of 3 years of audit experience in a Big4 or Next10 accounting firm.
- Strong knowledge of group accounting according to IFRS and the German commercial code (HGB).
- Experience with complex systems and processes, preferably in an e-commerce context.
- A passion for analyzing numbers and data, coupled with strong interpersonal skills.
- A reliable, independent, and conscientious work ethic.
- Proficiency in MS Office; knowledge of Business Central, Tagetik, and/or Lucanet is advantageous.
- Ability to thrive in a dynamic corporate environment with diverse cultures, along with effective communication skills in English and German.
- This position allows for a flexible work arrangement with the possibility of remote work several days a week.
