About Our Team

Deutsche Bank actively develops its electronic trading capabilities for Fixed Income and Currencies business. This includes a comprehensive front-to-back technological stack encompassing:

  • Physical, exchange-collocated, and cloud infrastructure
  • Algo and order management frameworks, pricing components, trading algorithms
  • Connectivity to markets worldwide
  • Sophisticated UIs for end users and more

Our team focuses on pricing, algo- and order-management systems, and the development and expansion of low-latency trading strategies.

Your Role

As a Lead Java Developer, you will play a pivotal role in the full life cycle of our products, from architecture design to implementation and level 3 production support. Your primary focus will be on developing latency-sensitive and high-throughput Java-based backend components.

Key Responsibilities
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to define business requirements and technical solutions, contributing to the evolution of our system architecture.
  • Develop functionality within our electronic trading platform based on provided business requirements.
  • Review code written by team members and mentor junior developers. Be prepared to lead development teams.
  • Act as a product owner, facilitating communication between the development group and system stakeholders.
  • Collaborate with QA on test automation and with DevOps on continuous SDLC and environment management improvements.
Your Skills & Experience

We are looking for an experienced Java developer with a passion for high-performance systems.

  • Exceptional knowledge of core Java (collections, multi-threading, networking)
  • Strong understanding of algorithms and complexity, Linux, messaging solutions, and application-level protocols
  • Experience in performance optimization of multi-threaded, high-loaded, low-latency Java applications is a significant advantage.
  • Experience in the fintech industry, familiarity with electronic trading domain, and experience leading development teams are highly desirable.
