The R&D Financial Project Manager plays a vital role in overseeing financial operations and cost management for engineering projects. This position collaborates closely with project leaders and various stakeholders to track project expenditures, analyze financial metrics, and deliver precise and timely financial reports. The R&D Financial Project Manager is essential in ensuring the fiscal health of our projects by effectively forecasting, monitoring, and managing project budgets. Working alongside project teams is crucial to identify potential challenges and devise strategies to address them, ensuring timely and budget-compliant project delivery.
Key Responsibilities:
- Engage with project leaders and stakeholders to ensure financial alignment
- Oversee and manage project budgets, ensuring compliance with financial guidelines
- Provide financial leadership through regular reviews, including monthly, quarterly, and annual assessments
- Support the establishment and execution of project control processes and protocols
- Ensure adherence to financial regulations and internal standards
- Assist in preparing financial forecasts, including ROFO, EAC reviews, and MTP
- Continuously seek opportunities to enhance existing processes
- Perform additional job-related tasks and training as required
Qualifications:
Preferred Skills:
- Bachelor's degree in finance or a related field, or equivalent professional experience
- 3-6 years of relevant experience in a similar capacity
- Demonstrated expertise in project financial management or a related role
- A technical background is beneficial
- Strong grasp of financial principles and practices
- Exceptional analytical skills and meticulous attention to detail
- Ability to work autonomously and prioritize effectively
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other financial software (e.g., DATEV)
- Familiarity with Dynamics 365 is a plus
- Highly organized and detail-oriented
