Lead SAP BASIS Solution Architect

At PHOENIX International Holdings GmbH, we are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Lead SAP BASIS Solution Architect to join our PHOENIX Competence Centre IT & Digital team. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for designing and implementing SAP system architecture, leading a team of SAP BASIS administrators, and ensuring the optimal performance and health of our SAP systems.

Your Key Responsibilities:
  • Design and develop SAP system architecture in collaboration with infrastructure and BASIS teams.
  • Manage SAP archiving processes and develop content management strategies to ensure efficient data storage and retrieval.
  • Provide technical leadership to a team of SAP BASIS administrators, mentoring and guiding them in best practices and effective problem-solving techniques.
  • Oversee and perform all aspects of SAP BASIS administration, including system installations, upgrades, configurations, and patch management.
  • Engage with business stakeholders to understand their requirements and translate them into SAP technical solutions.
Your Profile:
  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
  • Minimum 8-10 years of experience in SAP BASIS administration, with at least 3-5 years in a leadership or architectural role.
  • Deep knowledge of SAP BASIS, including SAP NetWeaver, S/4HANA, SAP Solution Manager, and other SAP components.
  • Experience with SAP archiving and content management, specifically using SARA and IBM Content Manager or similar tools.
  • Strong understanding of SAP system landscapes, databases, and operating systems (such as Linux, Windows, and Unix).
  • Experience with SAP Java stack and SAP BTP highly desired.
