About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Design Engineer to join our team at Large Space Structures GmbH. As a key member of our design team, you will be responsible for creating innovative solutions for our space technology projects.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement design concepts for space-related projects, utilizing CAD software and technical expertise.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure design solutions meet project requirements and technical specifications.
  • Conduct design reviews and provide technical input to ensure design integrity and quality.
  • Stay up-to-date with industry developments and advancements in space technology, applying this knowledge to improve design solutions.
  • Work closely with the project lead to ensure design deliverables meet project timelines and budgets.
Requirements
  • Master's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, or a related field.
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in design engineering, preferably in the space industry.
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills, with the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
  • Proficiency in CAD software, such as SolidWorks, and experience with design for manufacturability.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to think creatively and outside the box.
  • Experience with space-related projects, including deployable structures and mechanisms, is highly desirable.
