Senior Purchasing Operations Analyst

Salt is currently seeking a highly skilled Senior Purchasing Operations Analyst to join our team in Germany.

This is a full-time role, offering a competitive salary of 80,000 euros per annum. The position is based in Stuttgart, with opportunities for hybrid work.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Deliver significant cost savings in Europe across manufacturing, real estate, and business spend.
  • Reduce the number of suppliers in the Region, requiring effective change management and collaboration with local stakeholders.
  • Establish a process for tendering contracts on a 3-year cycle.
  • Contribute to the energy sourcing strategy for the territory, executing market tenders and leading initiatives to secure government subsidies and grants.
  • Drive supplier performance through continuous improvement initiatives and Service Level Agreements (SLAs).
  • Develop bi-monthly communication reviews with major locations, focusing on critical suppliers, upcoming change projects, and forward business needs.
  • Maximise the use of E-Pro in EMEA, ensuring all eligible spend is addressed through the portal, including catalogues and contracts capturing line item information.
Qualifications:
  • Previous purchasing experience within a major manufacturing company.
  • Strong understanding of the German equipment and contractor market.
  • Experience in tackling both CAPEX and OPEX spends.
  • Experience in managing Business Support spend and Sundries.
  • Knowledge of establishing contracts, monitoring performance, and resolving issues.
Ideal Candidate:
  • University-educated in a numerate discipline.
  • Multi-lingual capability, with English essential.
  • Fluency in German and English (advantageous).
  • Organisational savvy, with the ability to influence and manage conflicts.
  • Structured approach to initiating and leading change through cross-functional teams.
  • Business acumen to manage commercial relationships and negotiations.
  • Willingness to travel up to 25% of the time.
