Your Responsibilities

General

  • Identification of risks and accident-causing factors
  • Designing measures to optimize environmental, safety, and health aspects
  • Instructing the workforce on environmental, occupational health, and safety issues

Occupational Health and Safety

  • Analyzing accidents, keeping accident statistics, and developing measures to prevent hazards
  • Support in the preparation of risk assessments
  • Carrying out safety inspections and internal audits
  • Maintaining safe, healthy, and humane work systems and continuously improving the health and safety of employees

Environment

  • Monitoring compliance with the relevant legal requirements in the areas of energy, environment, waste, and hazardous substances, including ISO BImSchG, WHG, DIN EN 50001
  • Initiation of corrective measures and their review (development of concepts, advice, implementation)
  • Support in the organization of internal tasks for energy/environmental protection and waste management
  • Monitoring operating facilities, work processes, hazardous substances, and waste streams
  • Carrying out occupational safety and environmental audits
  • Systematic recording of hazardous substances for the management and updating of the hazardous substances register in accordance with Section GefStoffV

Your Profile

  • State-recognized technician/master craftsman in the field of occupational safety or environmental protection or completed (technical) university studies with an engineering focus, ideally in environmental engineering, safety engineering, or similar
  • Further training as an occupational safety specialist and practical experience in occupational health and safety (application of ISO 45001 is an advantage)
  • Professional experience in the areas of occupational safety, health, and environmental protection, ideally in an industrial environment
  • Knowledge of environmental and energy management systems (desirable)
  • Shows initiative, works independently, and has a high degree of work flexibility
  • Strong service orientation
  • Solution-oriented, analytical, and systematic approach to work
  • Confident with MS Office
  • Very good German and good English skills
