OBJECTIVE AND SCOPE:
The Senior Finance Solutions Director will oversee a multifaceted team dedicated to advancing the comprehensive strategic framework for Global Finance applications, ensuring excellence in finance business processes, program execution, and the deployment of financial systems including FiCo, tax, treasury, insurance, and travel and expense management systems (such as Concur), along with SAP Basis and Administration, SAP IT Internal Controls & Compliance, and SAP CSA/CSV management and SAP GTS. This position is crucial for enhancing finance process efficiency and systems, ensuring the successful execution of IT initiatives, and maximizing IT services on a global scale. The ideal candidate will possess extensive knowledge of finance process management and applications, coupled with a strong commitment to continuous improvement through leading cross-functional teams to meet strategic objectives.
KEY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Leadership and Strategic Direction:
Provide strategic leadership to the team, cultivating an environment of innovation and ongoing enhancement. Formulate and implement strategies to refine finance processes, improve service delivery, and align with the organization’s global IT goals. Collaborate with executive leadership to establish and execute departmental objectives. Team Leadership:
Direct and manage the global enterprise solutions finance team, the travel & expense application team, and the team overseeing SAP IT Audit, IT internal controls & Compliance, and CSV/CSA management. Lead a group of IT specialists tasked with designing, developing, and implementing solutions. Promote a culture of technical innovation, teamwork, and continuous improvement within the IT department. Set explicit objectives, provide technical mentorship, and conduct regular performance assessments to ensure high-quality outcomes. Mentor and nurture team members, encouraging professional development and skill enhancement. Demonstrated leadership capabilities with the ability to communicate effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders. Experience in organizational change management - guiding teams and individuals through OCM.IT Project Delivery & Solution Implementation:
Oversee the planning, execution, and delivery of IT projects aimed at optimizing finance processes and systems, including support for the delivery and deployment of CFIN and S4 HANA. Supervise the development and implementation of IT solutions, ensuring alignment with business needs. Collaborate with stakeholders to define technical specifications, project scope, and resource allocation. Track project progress, identify and address technical risks, and resolve issues to ensure successful implementation and integration. Conduct regular status meetings and provide updates to stakeholders.Service Management:
Collaborate with leaders on SAP Service management and support for daily business operations, managing external vendors to deliver solutions for incident management, problem resolution, root cause analysis, service requests, and other production support. Establish best practices, release management protocols, an intake process, and any other necessary procedures for consistent and optimized service delivery. Monitor and report on service delivery performance metrics, taking corrective actions to meet or exceed targets.Stakeholder Engagement:
Work closely with various stakeholders, including business units, regional IT teams, and external partners, to understand requirements and deliver value-added solutions. Communicate effectively with stakeholders at all levels, providing updates on progress, challenges, and successes.PHYSICAL DEMANDS AND WORKING CONDITIONS:
This role may require occasional travel.EDUCATION AND REQUIRED CREDENTIALS:
Bachelor’s and/or Master’s degree in business informatics, Computer Science, Information-oriented Business Administration/Economics, Mathematics, or a related field.EXPERIENCE AND SKILLS:
Over 10 years in senior process and technology roles collaborating with technology development teams, delivering and building end-to-end process capabilities. Over 10 years in senior engineering and technology roles working with platform/product development teams, delivering and building platforms. Over 10 years in delivering business transformation and technology programs. Leadership experience, project lead, functional and/or disciplinary management responsibilities.
