About the Role
We are seeking a highly skilled IT Event Manager to join our team at SAP. As an IT Event Manager, you will be responsible for providing technical support for small to large-scale SAP meetings and events, planning and delivering IT infrastructure for events, and serving as an IT project leader or supporting the IT project leader for events.
Key Responsibilities
- Collaborate with SAP marketing teams to plan and deliver technical support for events
- Install and operate IT infrastructure for events, including notebooks, servers, mobile devices, tools, and meeting technology
- Lead IT projects or support the IT project leader for events
- Produce and support MS Teams live events and Zoom meetings/webinars for internal and external audiences of all sizes
- Reflect on your work and support your team in continuously improving our services
- Develop and maintain internal tools for event planning and management, and event equipment or IT services programming and development (ideally)
Requirements
- High ability and willingness to work under pressure, including ad-hoc tasks
- Ability to work independently and take responsibility for assigned tasks
- Open working style and openness to new ideas
- Fluent German and English language skills
- Programming knowledge in SAP Fiori or other programming languages is a significant plus
- Travel readiness and willingness to work on weekends are essential
- 5+ years of professional experience in the IT and network field
- 3+ years of professional experience in event support/event management
- 3+ years of experience as a project leader
About the Team
We connect people, events, and technology to ensure the best experience. Our IT Event Services EMEA Team coordinates and provides all IT services for SAP customer and employee events within the EMEA region. The team supports over 200 events per year, from small trade show appearances to large events with over 10,000 attendees across Europe. With its logistics center and fixed event spaces at the SAP headquarters in Walldorf/St. Leon-Rot, it is permanently in use.
